Scarty and her wonderful World

Hardly a couple of months back I learned a new word Pinoy. Wiki define Pinoy as;

Pinoy is a demonym used by Filipinos for their compatriots in the Philippines and around the world. Filipinos usually refer to themselves informally as Pinoy or some times feminine: Pinay, which is formed by taking the last four letters of the word ˜Filipino and adding the diminutive suffix -y. The word was coined by expatriate Filipino Americans during the 1920s and was later adopted by Filipinos in the Philippines

Since then everything I see on blogosphere is PinoyPinay. Well I have to digg out my blogging PinoyPinay connections. I met some really beautiful and intelligent Pinoy bloggers from around the world, previously I wrote about this Wordpress theme addicted girl, this time I like to introduced to you, ( and if you already know her then like to bring in my views) about this beautiful, brilliant and extremely creative blogger, meet Scart Javier.

This native of Davao City, Philippines is currently living at Chicago Illinois, USA blog about her daily life experience, married to Luvski and blessed with this beautiful girl child Fatima Yuna, unfortunately lost her second child angelica, It was hard to loose a child who is now in good care of our God in heaven but expected to be a mother again soon of her third child. This made for each other pair is into graphic designing. Scart is equally familiar and proficient of doing wonderful designing in 3D max Studio, coral draw, Photoshop as husband Luvski. You can see some of her designing best shot Here;

The things which took me to digg and write a post about her is this wonderful sense of photography, if you surf her entire flickr you will find some beautiful shots, see pictures below, if you wanna know what I mean. Mostly her KODAK EASYSHARE Z710 zooms around her beautiful little daughter Yuna. So it was her photography talent which amazes me most.

Ask Scart about her hobbies and she will explain;

Computer games is one of my hobbies. I like playing strategy games, also have fun playing video games. I love watching scary movies. I don’t really like epic movies. I am a music lover but not a good singer. Am certainly a plain housewife who is doing my entire obligation. Taking care of my daughter is a big task but also fun.

So thats Scart for you and her daily life experiences blogging

A picture speaks a thousand words, and how many words a cartoon speaks. I love this art; in fact this was my first love and i used to do this ˜cartooning stuff” after finishing my college. I will definitely put some of my work here but this time I was looking for bloggers who are expressing thru cartoons.

I found these three cartoon sites interesting;

blogcomics.net
weblogcartoons.com
comictan.com

blogcomics.net is the best in my personal selection. Though this site is seems to me fairly new there are very few posts/cartoons the best thing about it that it provide you a link if you like to add up any cartoon into your posts. Comictan.com is another impressive ˜Tech” cartoon blog site. I put one of their cartoons on my post which I wrote back in november on John Chow V/s Shoemoney RSS feed contest.

From blogcomics.net am placing a cartoon which projects a beginner dilemma -to be or not be turn to Pro-blogging. Enjoy

The Indian Cowboy- One in a Billion -Meet Bobby Cash

December 25, 2007 by Shanker Bakshi

For me country music is a music genre in which singer Bobby Cash sings. I don’t recognize any country music singer other then this incredible Indian Cow Boy, people love to call him by this name.

Born in Dehradun, India but there is no one I guess in Australia who don’t know about bobby and his music and there hardly only few people who know him back in his own country.

In one billion peopled country India, He is the only country music singer. Hanging and singing around regularly paying performances at a “Hotel Rodeo”, New Delhi in late 90s. People soon realized that not only did he have a great country music voice, but that he is master guitar player. In Jan 2002 his dream turn out into reality when he met with Gerry O Leary, later on Gerry arranged for Bobby to attend the 2003 Tamworth Country Music Festival in Australia. Booby Took the Australian music lover by storm by his sensational Tamworth performances. In June 2003 in Australia bobby recorded his first country music album – Cowboy at Heart. With his Australian like hearted Tamworth-friend Lawrie Minson who was also the Producers of this well acclaimed music album including couple of duets with the legendary Smoky Dawson and Tania Kernaghan.

This is really interesting the day when I explore out this great musician through World Wide Web; I remember it was 15th Feb 07 coz I leave a message on his website the same day, I investigated each and every site containing information and music of bobby cash. I wonder how this man grabs me in his lovely fashion of singing. My personal favorite song is Tumbleweed, this song take me a nostalgic journey to my native place, a small beautiful place where I spent my childhood though there is no connection between this song and that place. This song also suits to my travel freak heart. You can enjoy the video below of Tumbleweed.

In January 2008 bobby will again be in Australia to win some more friends and hearts of his fans. Catch bobby on his following tour;

Merry Xmas

When A Child Is Born

A ray of hope flickers in the sky
A tiny star lights up way up high
All across the land dawns a brand new morn
This comes to pass when a child is born

A silent wish sails the seven seas
The winds of change whisper in the trees
And the walls of doubt crumble tossed and torn
This comes to pass, when a child is born

A rosy hue settles all around
You got the feel, you’re on solid ground
For a spell or two no one seems forlorn
This comes to pass, when a child is born

Spoken: And all of this happens, because the world is waiting.
Waiting for one child; Black-white-yellow, no one knows
but a child that will grow up and turn tears to laughter,
hate to love, war to peace and everyone to everyon’s neighbor,
and misery and suffering will be words to be forgotten forever.

It’s all a dream and illusion now,
It must come true sometime soon somehow,
All across the land dawns a brand new morn,
This comes to pass when a child is born.

Wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year from Shanker Bakshi dot Com

Aamir Sanjeeda

Aamir Ali and Sanjeeda Sheikh beat Rakhi Sawant and Abhishek Awasthi in the third season of Nach Baliye held in Mumbai , well this is the news I want to hear as I was personally wishing for Aamir and Sanjeeda to win this contest , but why? I don’t know why, I like the innocence and realness this couple has, on the other hand I feel Rakhi Sawant and Abhishek were using different mean to impress win some votes.

Salman Khan announced the winners. The other Nach Baliye couples were also present and gave fine performances. The reality show hosted by Hussain and Tina, and judged by David Dhawan, Vaishnavi Merchant and Isha Koppikar.

And they call him Pavement Picasso

when I come to know about his pavement art work I was so impressed that I can’t wait writing this post about him. He is really a genius artist. His 3D painting on street of various cities are marvelous, His art is extremely unique and very amazing. When you look at them from a certain angle, they appear to be 3D!!!

For instance looks at the first picture below, it seems someone put a 3D globe in the middle of the road! But this is actually painted on the road in such a stretched manner that when viewed from this angle, it looks 3D.

In this video you will see how he performs this magic. -Video of Julian Beever creating the Aveeno Fountain of Youth chalk drawing in Union Square, NYC

Happy Birthday Mr. Member Parliament

Today is Govinda’s birthday. He has worked in 120 movies. In 2004, Govinda joined the Congress party, and was elected to the Lok Sabha, the lower House of Parliament from Mumbai with a thumping majority. Happy Birthday Govinda.

These days he is concentrating more on his bollywood career working hard to build his body trying to gain the same old fan follow-ing. Am very desperate to hear from his constituency community how much he has contributed and executed his political deliverance.

This country alone can afford these dancing politicians, am not saying he is doing anything bad by doing bollywood movies, but yes if you are so much keen to do the same old filmi stuff please do not haul your leg in political arena. Govinda is dancing, signing, enjoying, and romancing on celluloid because our constitution says a government lawyer in practice can not run his own personal business but a member of parliament can do movies run around the tree sign along with beautiful girl in rain.

Ohh am sorry this is not the right time to raise this issue lets cheer up Govinda, many many happy return of the day.

Lets WELCOME Nana Patekar again

December 20, 2007 by Shanker Bakshi

Nana Patekar Anil Kapoor Welcome

The only movie which I had seen bunking my college classes was YASHWANT. I used to be a die hard fan of Nana Patekar. Used to be? am I not a nana Patekar fan now? Well frankly speaking not much. Actually after giving some breath taking fabulous performance in Ankush (1986), Parinda (1989), Thoda Sa Romani Ho Jayain (1990), Prahaar (1991) Krantiveer (1994), Yashwant (1997), Wajood (1999) he start doing what been called the commercial cinema with all Masala Latke Jhatke etc.

Personally I believe he is the most valuable actor that we have today in bollywood cinema but nobody is producing any strong potential venture for him. Some time back Ram Gopal Verma featured him in his Ab Tak Chappan (2004) but yeah he need some more like this or the things may be other way round he may seek some commercial success rather then some good critic comments. Whatever may be the reason but he is still unexploited much and he has lot more to offer.

With Hatrick and Dus Kahaniyaan this year Nana is coming this Friday with his latest movie welcome. This movie is got something to do with his ability to make you laugh. He is playing Uday Shetty paring with Anil Kapoor playing Majanoo Bhai in the moving. Well am looking forword to see this wonderful duo creating some really nice movement of laugh.They are coming together after the interval of 19 long years, before this movie they were together in Parinda 1989. It will be interesting to see whether this jodi will create the same magic like once Dhamendra and Amitabh Bachchan did as Jay and Veeru. Am looking forward to welcome Nana once again. How you see this ?

Gauri Khan Vogue Cover Girl

Its time now for Gauri Khan to hit the news stand after Hubby Shah Rukh Khan. Vogue India January 2008 issue will feature Gauri Khan on its cover.

After a cameo in Om Shanti Om this is Gauri’s second eye contact with the public. I personally like Shah Rukh Kahn a lot; in fact he is my favorite, but I can’t comment on Gauri being appearing as cover girl for Vogue. She has cleared the air stating that she is not doing it as profession and she wouldn’t be doing it often in future but yes this issue will certainly create a name and wave for vogue in India. Am very keen to know how you feel about it.

Filed under Blogging Resource

Those who love music and those who can create music this is a wonderful tool to distribute their creativity places. Yes the best Podcasting plugin which I found on the net is at www.1pixelout.net

Get set download it and start Podcasting your favorite audio file, share them with your friends and share out it to the whole world. This plugin is very simple to install and the best thing which I found about it is that you can customized it in various ways. It comes with the Pre and Post appended audio clips customization which you can use to encourage your site. All you have to do is following:

• Log in HERE

• Download Audio Player Wordpress plugin zip file

• Extract and upload the files to your plugins folder

• Create an audio folder in the root directory of your blog where you will store all your mp3 files.

• Activate the plugin in your WP admin

• Go to Options > Audio Player in the WP admin

• Choose how you want to use Audio Player and also set the colors to match your site’s design.

If you wish to use another folder, remember to change the audio files directory option on your options panel. You can also use external links where you can save your audio files and refer that link for Audio Podcasting at your site.

Am sharing with you here an advertisement Jingle which i sung quite a long time back for television commercial of a very famous amusement park in northern India.

So Whats you sharing ?

Where is Laughter Champion Kapil Sharma ?

December 18, 2007 by Shanker Bakshi

Kapil Sharma

A few months back there was laughter all around the corner of Indian television. Giant success of The Great Indian Laughter Champions (TGILC) on star one encourages other television channel to come up with the same blend of laughter to survive. I personally feel that except Sony television’s Comedy circus none of this comedy shows which come up in rivalry of TGILC did anything for these channel.

The scene on comedy front is again very quite now. It seems the era of comedy has been over on television. Dance and signing competition reality shows are approaching Indian television audience with storm these days. You can see guys’ participation in these reality shows asking for votes every second on television. Champion like Kapil Sharma can be seen used as fillers in these reality shows. So the things are changing very fast far Indian TV scene, what you see now will not be there after couple of year. It will be quite interesting to see how it could be year 2008. What you guess ?
