Can We Succeed In Blogging without Using Evil Tactics?
![]()
How do you feel when you write back to back some great article on your blog and then see some chap who had just entered in to the blogsphere and don’t have much to offer on his site for his readers but ranked higher then you on social media sites Technorati and Alexa?
Well how do you feel when you are a great article writer but fails on marketing your blog among various communities?
And now the million dollar question, how do you feel when you see some guy going great guns using evil ways to promote his blog, building traffic, offering lucrative offer for signing up e-mails, subscribing RSS, buying lnks for improving PageRank, even offering his household secondhand stuff to be won in a competition?
Different people will have different answers to these types of questions, But if you ask me to answer I believe on two assumptions:-
• Content is The King – and nothing could really take you there if you don’t have some nicely written article on your blog.
• You will get the success you Deserve for your great works –sooner or later. No body can snatch that from you.
Following are few evil ways which bloggers usually do to generate “that†extra traffic to their site. (Is it really evil? You have to tell me)
Evil Ways
To increase comments on blogs
Buying it from someone, force your readers to comments on a particular post (As a condition for entering a contest), making comments with untruly created identities of your own.
To Increase RSS Subscriptions
Forcing your readers for subscribing your RSS Feed and e- mail subscription by offering cash in a contest. (Well not everyone has money to do that).
Counter Offers
Like when someone says I will digg your post if you will digg mine, I will stumbleupon your five articles you do that for my one article. Buying and selling Text Links.
Few consider these as marketing tactics while most of the other calls it evil ways of popularizing your blog. But the question still remain unanswered, do you really have great stuff on board when you succeed in generating traffic to your blog and loads of readers visit your site? or if i ask in other ways; do you really think one can not succeed without using these evil marketing techniques?
