Dancing TEXT Widgets of WordPress 2.5

Many bloggers who upgraded their WordPress to 2.5 facing this problem, every time they try to add and edit a Text widget goooooooshhh it got disappear. And believe me this is not the only problem or bug they are fighting with; There are 979 posts in WP Forum only on TEXT Widget on-off dancing problem; well few of them who disappointed with this new avatar of WP installed back the old version 2.3 again on their site. I want you to give me idea how you find this new WordPress 2.5 it’s bigger and better then the previous version or you think you should have stick with your old WordPress 2.3.

  1. Sometimes, it’s the theme that isn’t compatible with the latest version. That’s why I check for the right theme first before upgrading.

  2. I never use widgets.. mostly hard coding it on the template files through the admin interface (single.php, etc)

    So that’s why I’ve never encountered these problems.. ^^

  3. That’s not the only fun you have with the new amazing WP2.5 widgets.
    Say you use a theme with 3 sidebars, now you switch to one with 2 sidebars. The widgets you used in the third sidebar are still ‘locked’ and you can’t add them in the 2 sidebar theme until you go back to the old one and remove them from the sidebar.
    So much for newbie friendly.
