Plugin for Automated WordPress Database Backup

As my guitarist friend Abhinav suggested here about installing WordPress Database Backup Plugin, I immediately followed the link, downloaded and the installed Plugin and it’s really working great.

Italy based Austin Matzko, desired Philosopher, sweet father of Samuel and Margaret, designed this Plugin.

WordPress database backup creates backups of your core WordPress tables as well as other tables of your choice in the same database.

This Plugin allows you to;

* Save to server: create a file in /wp-content/backup-*/ for you to retrieve later

* Download to your Desktop.

* Email: this will email the backup file to the address you specify.

So download this Plugin from here and forget about all your database backup worries.

    Finally, a WP plugin that’s worth keeping. No worries about database back-up now. We do need this plugin as WP is always coming up with new versions and upgrading seems to give us problems. :-)

    The problem is, this plug-in has no restore functionality! You can back it up..and then what? :D

    I still back up regularly, but I don’t have a clue on how to restore it (unless doing it manually)

    Drop the data from phpmyadmin backup files and upload the database back-up file.

    A plugin for uploading database backup file will be a good idea -Any taker?

    Really, how many times would we need to restore a backup? So a plugin isn’t really needed for it.. In any case, it is such an important operation that I would rather do it manually than trust a plugin! phpMyAdmin rocks! :)
