by Shanker Bakshi on August 6, 2008

I know you hate to post the same text at two different places by log in to two different accounts. Spreading your words through the internet is never an easy task. Popularizing your posts is some time difficult then writing it up, am I right?

Someone has come up with this idea to ping your messages/posts from one place to different social media sites, sounds exciting isn’t it? So if you are fed-up of running around different social media site for promoting your saying then here comes the solution. Simply ping it through Ping.fm.

Ping.fm was created for the sole purpose of making it as easy as possible to share your posts with the world. Now you don’t have to fumble around the web in order to post anymore, you can just post once, and be done with it. The idea came about when making some posts to Twitter and Tumblr. The idea of posting the exact same information in two places seemed a bit tedious, so Ping.fm was born.

Now you don’t need to rush from one site to another for pinging (popularizing) your blog posts, or your status at various IMs. Ping.fm comes with a bunch of useful feature which you were looking from ages. All you have to do is to register your account with them. Set up/authorize your different social media sites and social media tools that’s it and you are done. Whatever you post at ping will spread around to your different social media.

Following are social media sites which you can update through Ping.fm in one shot. Amazing!!!

Bebo Blogger Brightkite Custom URL Facebook FriendFeed hi5 Identi.ca Jaiku kwippy LinkedIn LiveJournal Mashable MySpace Plaxo Pulse Plurk Pownce Tumblr Twitter WordPress.com Xanga

Besides you can update your status to following services /tools with Ping.fm in just one go.

AOL Instant Messenger

Google Talk (GTalk)

Yahoo! Messenger

Windows Live Messenger

iGoogle Gadget

Facebook Application

iPhone Web App

Mobile App (WAP)

Your posts handle in three group blogging, micro-blogging and status updates. You can control how your messages are posted as well as where. You can use trigger to post your messages if you don’t use it your message will be delivered as your default method.

Good thing is that it will shorten the links in the post automatically. Links shorter than 20 characters won’t be shortened further, again if you don’t like them to be shorten you just have fix a * before the links like *http//www.shankerbakshi.com/

So HERE is the link – Sign up with this beta testing code pingitlikeitshot
