WordCamp India is Here

Ma.tt Mulenwag, the founder of WordPress already confirmed in his WordCamp roundup post about his coming to INDIA on this 21st, 22nd Feb ‘09.  WordCamp is a conference type of event that focuses squarely on everything WordPress. Delhi Blogger Bloc organizing it in India on completion of 5 years of Delhi bloggers community. I’m wish, hope and looking forward to meet ma.tt over there. This is WordPress‘’s first big event in India so we bloggers from India are very much excited about this event. Registrations for WordCamp India aren’t open yet.

My friend HOBO once asked me that he travels a lot in India and has a huge collection of nice stock photos; can he make some bugs by selling them on the internet?

Yes, the answer is here, if you are a professional photographer, or if you love photography and have some perfect picture frames then here are some resource where you can sell these pictures and make money by selling these photos.

I’m giving you here list of some recommended sites. It is also suggested here that you must go through their terms of use, basic requirement and payout condition in detail. I have included my referral links with some few sites below.

It pays 50% of the net proceeds from each photo downloaded it means A customer downloads an Ultra High Resolution ($3) version of your photo you’ll receive = $3 × 50% = $1.50 from that sale.

Bigstockphoto

Whenever a person download one of your photos under their normal Image Usage Agreement, your account balance increases by 50 cents per credit spent. This equates to 50 cents for smallest downloads or $3.00 each for the largest file downloads. When your account balance reaches $30 you can request Paypal withdrawal to ‘cash out’ your account, or when you reach $50 you can request a check be mailed to you.

To sell your photos, you first have to sign up as a member. Then just sign in and fill their Photographer Application. Once your application is approved, you may begin uploading your photos!

After signing up with Crestock you can begin submitting images. Once your images have been evaluated and put online you’ll be paid a commission every time we sell one of your images, earning a continuous, passive income from your photos. As soon as you hit 100 sales, you’ll earn 30% commission – and the more you upload the more you’ll sell.

They probably will not pay you but if you tell them what you wanna shoot and their editorial team will help you in every possible way to get it done.

DeviantArt

DeviantArt is an international online community for artists. You can use DeviantArt Shop to sell your photos for a profit. You need pay for an annual fee of $29.95 USD for becoming member of this elite community.

For each transaction, the photographer receives a 50 percent fee. Exclusive images receive a 60 percent fee, while exclusive photographers enjoy an additional bonus of $0.20 for each approved submission. Considering all bonuses that are awarded to the buyer, the actual royalties can reach up to 80% or more. Scoopt is famous Getty Images’s baby each time you make a sale; Scoopt pays you a 40% royalty. join Scoopt. Membership is free anitment, so why not to work with some really big names. Go for it.

Shutter Stock

Shutterstock will pay you 25 cents every time one of your images is downloaded. Once you reach $500 in earnings, your commission goes up to 30 cents per download. Our subscription model encourages buyers to download a greater volume of images than they would at most other agencies. Current Payout $0.25 (US) per download. That means that at just 2000 downloads/month, you can earn $500 (US) per month! Many of  Shutterstock  photographers earn this and more every month.

Stockxpert claims that their payout is the best as they believe that their artists must be treated fairly. You receive 50% after each download you generate! Also, you can view your earnings in real time at your account, and you can manage your images with a powerful, easy to use interface! You can choose between Paypal, Ikobo, Moneybookers, request money on check by mail.

New Form of Video Advertising

This is the end of it, no more research and development required now I guess; they have found a new way to insert advertisement in your video content.

Imagine, you produce a video in which you are showing “how to cook chicken curry in ten minutes?  You as publishers of that video submit it to them and then they insert some clickable ads within that video. An Apple and Jobs

APPLE INC Co-founder and chief executive Steve Jobs sent a letter to employees saying he was taking medical leave until June to focus on his health. The cancer survivor had recently said his weight loss was caused by hormone deficiency. Apple’s shares plunged by 7 percent.

So this was the big news in all leading news papers of the world. But why I covering this news in my blog as usually I do not cover up front stories here. The oblivious reason for me to include this news here is that I love this kid Steve Jobs. He is truly a great guy.

Survey on WordPress 2.8 Potential Features

Okay – Hope You enjoy your holiday season, well it seems my last a little longer. Lets get back to the business, have you tries out WordPress 2.7, How it doing for you. Hope you like the some really cool features of WP 2.7. All right, WordPress 2.8 is due for release in March.   WordPress community is looking for your support too add up some more potential features to make it the best blogging platform of this planet.

2.8 is due out in early March, so there won’t be time to include everything people suggest. The dev team has identified a couple of main features that they would like to add, and will include additional features as time allows in part based on the prioritization that comes out of this survey. This list of potential features is based on the features that had to be tabled due to time constraints during 2.7 development, as well as drawing from some of the top-rated features in the Ideas forum.
