Finally Google Allows You to Change Font Size of your AdSense Ads

by Shanker Bakshi on June 22, 2009

I know from ages you were waiting Google to allow this, now you can change your Google AdSense ads font Type and Size and mix it up with your Blog Content. Readers are more likely to click those AdSense ads which look similar to your post content.

We’re now happy to announce the launch of a related feature you’ve been asking for — the ability to change the font size of the text in your ad units. You can now select from small, medium, and large font sizes for ad units on pages in Latin-character languages. Just like with the current font face options, size options appear in every account but will only be applied to ad units on pages primarily in Latin-based characters for now.

The font size you choose will be applied to the body of the ad, with the title scaled appropriately. In order to fit the ad text correctly, the actual font size will vary for each format size, font face, and user-specific settings such as browsers and operating systems. In addition, some formats sizes currently have very limited room, so the font size application will be most apparent in cases where the number of ads appearing in your ad units varies automatically in order to maximize your performance. Here’s an example of what the three font sizes could look like in a 336×250 large rectangle:

Man,
I have been using this since last two weeks or so since the new theme was rolled out. I thought it would be a great feature but now pi**ed off with it because though I selected a small font size of Verdana to match the content size, sometimes it is rendered really big and bold.

Also, it consistently looks good only on internet explorer. On Firefox and Chrome it still shows big fonts.

I was thinking that they will allow publishers to choose from actual font sizes rather than small, medium, large

I’ve changed the font and size of my ads as it started to look bigger than normal. It took time for Google to create this.

The top of the browser says connecting but even after 5 minutes it never takes me to the actual webpage. This has rendered Google search useless on my iphone, any idea about why this is happening?

When using Google Adsense with YouTube, you post the code Google provides to a separate web page… You won’t be able to post the Adsense code onto your YouTube profile/channel…
