I like john chow a lot, he inspire me to work harder and harder towards my goal, actually I started blogging in 2007 after reading some of his top posts, I consider him as my mentor. Besides he helps me a lot in my blogging and we regularly shares talk over IM chat.
Who is a mentor?
- Serve as a teacher or trusted counselor;
- A wise and trusted guide and advisor.
Do you try to copy your mentor?
You don’t always have to innovate; there is nothing wrong with copying. Usually I get this sort of comment that I try to imitate John, well if you watch this blog you will find it is very much similar to his blog design. I don’t think it something wrong that I am doing, it happens when you are a big fan of someone or you inspire with someone you try look and act like him or her.
Who is your Blog Mentor/Idol/Inspiration?
I would like to take this opportunity to ask you whom you like, who is your blogging mentor or whom you try to copy/imitate.

All of the hard working bloggers whose blogs I follow and comment on out there are role models I strive to emulate, but the one I look up to the most must be Yaro from entrepreneurs-journey. His humility, honesty and seriously well written posts really does it for me.

To go as far as to call him a mentor would be wrong though, because I feel there needs to be two-way traffic in that kind of a relationship nfor it to be called that….just for the record, OK!

Like you I like John Chow but I am not copying him. I just want to learn from his techniques.

I like John Chow and Shoemoney. They are great. But I only read them, never even thought of copying them

Though I started DollarShower after getting inspired by JC, I soon got bored seeing his posts. The same with Shoemoney as well. Out of my favorite bloggers Darren Rowse remains still in the first place – I thought he teaches great ethics and discipline while most others teaches how to make money.
I like copy blogger as well.
Other persons that I have got bored about is Steve Pavlina and Jim Kukral
Right now, I do not have any mentors as such

I must say John Chow is the God of Bloggers! Go figure, if you’ve blogging for a period and you haven’t heard about John Chow, then you must be a terrible blogger for sure.
Beside that, Darren Rowse and Shoemoney are my favorite bloggers too!

Do you think that anyone gonna tell what his or her business secret? The answer is a big NO.

I don’t have one right now. I don’t know if there is someone willing to be my mentor. I really appreciate that.

I can’t really pin down just one person. I have several bloggers that I follow closely and then a handful of internet marketers that I guess I could consider mentors.

I do not have mentor – yet to meet.
I say – A mentor is a person who create subject/s not discover subject/s.

I love Daniel Scocco of DailyBlogTips only. He is very good than anyone in my opinion.

Hey Shanker,
It’s nice interactive post. I think I don’t copy any single blogger completely as originality of content & standing apart is essential as per my esperience. However, there are few bloggers I constantly read to learn & improve my blog, so it would be tough to mention one.
