Sometimes people catch “lightning in a bottle”. It’s hard to reproduce, even for the same person who succeeded.
However, it’s a good reminder that with a good combination of hard work, street smarts, and luck, anyone can land in a pot of gold.

You raise a very valid point Gabe. Luck does play a very unacknowledged role in many a success story, and quite often the person can not quite replicate his/her success again!
It is an inspirational tale though, and creating one’s own luck is very possible through passion, hard work and clever strategising…..

Such big success can be inspiring and anti-inspiring at the same time. It shows that everything is possible with proper knowledge, hard work and a little bit of luck. But in face of so huge success anyone can feel small and paralyzed – I think that it is crucial not to think about the people of success as thieves that surely stole their money from someone. And many people that did not succeed in work thinks that way.
President Obama, a Harvard Law Professor makes only $400,000 a year. If he worked for 60 year times $400,000 then he only makes $24 million at age 80. That’s if he has no expenses and saves every dollar he earns.
How this dumb 16 year old high school dropout make $40 million at 18?????????????
