Google Mass Banned Adwords Accounts

Google is behaving like a dog that is spitting  in his own bowl.

How about biting a hand which feeds you? Recently Google axe on several Google AdWord accounts. That’s too without explaining advertiser as why their AdWord Accounts has been banned. Just a simple email telling them that they have been dumped by Big Daddy Google. Surprisingly some of them were spending millions of dollars a year for promoting their own products.

This insane act of Google is out of my mind, few days back they also disabled thousands of Google AdSense accounts without digging into about the actual circumstances.

This is truly not a good gift for webmasters in this freezing cool holiday season.

My friend’s Google AdSense account got banned by Google. The fact is that some foolish guy was clicking on his blog like a crazy dog, by the time he notice it Google wipe off everything leaving a message on a plain white AdSense account page stating:

Your AdSense account for this login is currently disabled. We recommend checking your email inboxes for any messages we may have sent you regarding your account status. Sometimes our messages can be caught by email filters, so please be sure to check the Bulk/Spam folders of your email accounts as well.

This is ridicules; they must dig into past history before doing this. Appealing against such ban is totally a time waste as I have never heard about someone AdSense account reinstated by Google.

If you want to take revenge from someone just start clicking their AdSense Ads, Google will soon disable that account, see it’s as simple as that, pathetic.

Its seems Google is finding it difficult to manage its business, or want to rule online world wide web as a bully.

What say, why Google is doing so?

I think you are referring to Ajith of dollarshower right?

I am in a shock. If they ban because some dog is clicking ads frentically then we all are in danger.

I am afraid and also i totally depend on it. I didn’t try affiliate marketing or other means of income through blogging yet.

Yeah — i already heard that google can do what ever they want to our account without any notice or ask. Therefore, we should always have backup plan for Google.

It was a nice surprise from Uncle Google to get my AdSense account banned :) I am not frustrated though because it was not really helping me too much with my MMO goals. Also, most of us must have clicked some ToS during sign up and that can be held against us pointing to some particular clause. However, two of my niche blog projects has to be stopped because of this :)

What really frustrates me is the fact that at the time of banning they dont have any right to withhold my current dues and I have the right to sue them just for those 50 dollars or so

Yes, they forfeit the amount in your account at the time they ban you. I guess Google is sucking so much of amount that way. Also there is always a huge amount in pipeline coz many blogger struggle for years to come close to threshold limit of $100.

Haa! I thought Google will ban Adsense accounts only if you click the ads yourself. This is confusing now.

Its weird to see Google banning so many accounts just because some other person clicked the ads.

It is one thing if you clicked the ads yourself, but if somebody actually intentionally goes out to try and sabotage you or a campaign of yours, what can you actually do to prevent this?

Now, I’m a victim of this. I found out this morning that my Adsense account was disabled for invalid clicks. Google is making us stupid. Don’t they think that we don’t understand that clicking one’s ads will be banned?! Now, they’re disabling accounts even the publisher herself/himself doesn’t commit the act.

Well, as many innocent folks out there, I have been banned by Google AdSense for over a month and a half now under the rule of invalid clicking. What sort of company does this? Lifetime ban without providing information such as which website of mine was the source? Which day? Neither did they request any information even-though i opened my arm wide open, offering full server access.

Hey, this is not a new behavious of Google. It has been doing this since last 3 years – at least that is the duration I am aware of, it perhaps might be there even before. I still remember my poor friend who suffered from this strange action from Google 3 years back, when his AdSense account was suddenly blocked… Only God knows why and how Google manages to do that, and what basis…

I’m not sure about the first two questions…you might have luck if you “Google” the mass of the top quark :D As for the question about heavy atoms…there is theoretically no limit to how many protons and neutrons you can cram into an atom.

Personally, I don’t think it is a wise move by Google just to outright ban people, why ban someone that is drawing your company a large amount of money? I guess Google has gotten big enough to where it really doesn’t matter to them in their bottom line revenue, but still… it does effect them in the long run in my opinion, just a simple email warning them first bout the issue, rather than an outright ban would be much better and more effective. Essentially Google is just losing business and making their money makers go to their competitors.

I was spending $40k a month at our peak until they banned a bunch of our keywords and links. Now we spend about $6k a month. I’d prefer to be spending $40k a month as it meant our revenues were through the roof. *sigh*

I think Invalid clicks is a “catch all” term that they use, but it does not always mean that the publisher cheated. It can mean anywhere from clicking on your own ads, labeling the ads other than those allowed, inciting visitors to support the site and click on the ads, etc.

One example is the removal of arbitrage sites in May 2007 (mostly worthless made for adsense sites who spends heavily on Adwords bec they can’t get traffic any other way and then hope to earn via adsense). Adsense sent an email to these sites telling them that they have 30 days to remove the code from their sites.

I had the same issue, Adwords suspended my account. I came across an eBook (http://getadwordsunbanned.com) there you can find a step by step guide how to publish with Adwords again. I know ‘Adwords ban’ can be a nightmare.
