The problem with so many WordPress premium themes are that they are not very easily customizable by some one who is not an expert at coding. There is no fun in expending money on buying a premium theme then hiring a coder to customize it. The theme should be so design that anyone could easily tweak it and mold it according to his/her requirement.
today i am giving you a theme best suited for a personal blog, and off course the best thing is that this is highly customizable and you can easily mold the design as per your choice. Its comes with ten different colors to choose which mean you have enough options to give it the look and feel you want.
other features are:
- You can choose from 10 different colour schemes including blue, black, white, red, green, orange, purple, brown, pink and a second style of blue.
- If you don’t like the background images in a colour scheme, don’t worry. You can upload your own background image or alternatively, simply choose the colour you want your background to have.
- You can change the font of your header, sidebar and body in the admin area from 5 different fonts

How To Integrate Google Custom Search into WordPress Blog and Make Money?
July 26, 2009 by Shanker Bakshi
Google custom search can be use as a money making tool if you know how to fix it properly with the soul of your WordPress blog theme. I must say that the default WordPress search engine barely serve the purpose, So I am giving you here a heck to replace that search engine with the Google Custom Search and also make some when your users search a quarry and click ads placed on Google Search Results page.
Here is the screen shot of how I integrated Google Custom Search into my WordPress self hosted blog.
Now let me explain how you can do this in seven small and easy steps:
STEP 1
Sign up for your Google AdSense Account if you haven’t registered yet here https://www.google.com/adsense/ . If you are using AdSense ads on your site the you can head over to google custom search via Google AdSense > AdSense Setup > AdSense for Search.
STEP 2
Fill in the necessary parameters like Search Type: whether you want your users to search your site only, or a collection of sites, or the entire web. If you want users to search your sites then specify it in the given box with complete URL of a site or list of sites to search across. These can be individual pages, parts of sites, or entire sites.
STEP 3
After that choose search Box options, this is where you specify the look and the feel of your search box. You can shape your Google Custom Search Box.
STEP 4
Now this is the step which will integrate google custom search into your WordPress self hosted blog, so please read it carefully.
While selecting opening of search results page you need to select “Open results within my own site” and specify the URL like:
Exclude inverted commas in URL above and replace “yoursite.com” with the domain name your site. This /search/ would be the page where we will display the search results within our blog.
STEP 5
In this step you need to Specify where you want the AdSense ads to be placed in relation to search results. Your options are top and right, top and bottom and right. Well you can see that I have chosen AdSense ads to be appearing on Top and bottom of search results. Well if you wish you can manage these setting later on through Google AdSense > AdSense Setup > Manage ads.
STEP 6
Now save your search Engine. Check the term and condition box (well if you agree). Name your search engine in the given box something like YOUR SITE SEARCH ENGINE and then hit the SUBMIT button.
You will get two boxes with codes. One is search box code. Paste this code in the page where you’d like your search box to appear. If you want it to appear in sidebar then follow this, WordPress Admin>Appearance>Widgets> select Text widget and then paste the code.
STEP 7
Now you need to paste the code given at the second box. For this you need to create a new page in your WordPress blog with the name “search”. This should exactly be the same as we typed while specifying the URL in step 4. For creating a new page go to WordPress Admin>pages> Add New. You can uncheck allow comments and allow pings boxes given below under “Discussion” option of your new page.
Select HTML window of your WordPress editor, paste the code and PULISH this page and you are done. To test type some keywords in Google Custom Search Box and see how the search results are appearing on your blog.
Now some of you may raise your eyebrows as I ask you to create a page with name “search” and publish it the step 7 above but you can’t see such a page on my page list in header, Is this going on in your mind right now? Well if you search google you will find enough information on how you can hide OR exclude some pages to appear in your site page list. If you wish you can use a WordPress Plugin for this purpose, Exclude Pages is a WordPress Plugin which adds a checkbox, “include this page in menus”, which is checked by default. If you uncheck it, the page will not appear in any listings of pages.
I hope this will help you integrate your Google Custom Search into your WordPress Self Hosted Blog, and also make some money when your users click your AdSense ads appearing onsearch result page.
Three Rock Solid WordPress Themes
July 13, 2009 by Shanker Bakshi

Today I am sharing with you the three most popular WordPress Premium Themes. The founders of these themes claims that installing these themes will change the way you blog, these are optimized for SEO so you will get extra amount of Traffic from Search Engines. But before taking any decision regarding buying and installing these themes please make sure to compare each other features, also share your experience if you have any one of these themes ruling on your blog.
The Ultimate Blogging Theme
Carl Ocab, this 13-year old guy (He is claiming himself thirteen year old since 2006, don’t know when he will grow up LoL) also claims that he owe all his success to the amazing theme on which he runs his blog. He claims to grab the top spot at Google for keywords which some people have been trying to rank for such a long time. Well, he’s number 1, sometimes number 2 or number 3 for the keyword phrase “make money online” Not only that, he manages to earn a handsome four figure monthly income because of his top Google blog. He states that this is all due to his well-optimized WordPress blog theme.
He is now selling his blog theme which he calls ‘The Ultimate Blogging Theme”

Frugal Theme
This theme has two versions, one for free download and other one is Premium version with some extra features and tweaks. Frugal theme’s unique selling point is that it is light and clear. When it comes down to it, your blog’s content is MUCH more important that the theme itself. Sure, you don’t want your site to look tacky or amateurish or misrepresent the focus of your blog, but at the end of the day, it’s WHAT you’re saying that creates the draw for your potential subscribers, not what color the background is when they read it (though that can have an effect). Keeping this in mind John Doe come up with a theme which presents your work neatly and nicely.
Since its introduction to the World of WordPress everyone is talking about this theme. I guess this is the most talked about WordPress Product, but why people are recommending this theme, the reason is pretty simple this theme is supported by respectable, commanding and esteem big bosses on blogging world Rae Hoffman, SEO guru Michael Gray, Darren Rowse, Scott Beale, Chris Brogan, and LeVar Burton and presented by copy blogger Brian Clark. This theme has been used by search legend Danny Sullivan, Google’s Matt Cutts, and Microsoft search engineer Jeremiah Andrick.
Thesis boasts the strongest SEO of any theme on the market today thanks to its expertly-coded HTML + CSS + PHP framework. Not only that, Thesis also contains additional options that will allow you to fine-tune each and every page of your site. The days of worrying about your in-site SEO are over—with Thesis, your strategy is “just add killer content.” Not a coder? Not a problem. The Thesis option panels allow you to command your site with ease, while Thesis does all of the heavy lifting behind the scenes. You’ve never had this much control over your site before, and this is precisely what makes Thesis indispensable to critical webmasters all over the globe.

Matt Scanning Entries for WordPress Feature Contest

Matt and Priyanka with one of the contest Winner (thats me
)
Let me tell you what happening in above pictures. Actually at India’s First WordCamp there was this WordPress Feature Suggestion Contest for WordPress future version releases. Many bloggers and web developers contested in this. Matt himself scanned each and every entry and look I feel so lucky that he chosen me as one of the winner of this contest.
Here is what I suggested to Matt:
Hey Matt,
Would you like to integrate BuddyPress and bbPress and if possible further integration of these services to our WordPress Blog? I consider forums and these social media stuff as very useful tool for generating traffic to our blog. At present if we need these services with our blogs then we need to install it manually at a sub directory level and then link it to our blog home page. It will be great if you can provide a process opting for setting up these services with our WordPress blog. Mixing of BuddyPress with bbPress with WordPress blog would be a great idea.
He like this idea and then prized me for that.
So if you see these sorts of integration in future version of your WordPress blog then you can easily guess from where the idea is coming.
You can congratulate me in the comments below.
